Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporations

The Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporations Certification System is an award system certified by the Japan Health Conference with the aim of creating an environment in which large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and other corporations that practice particularly excellent health and productivity management can be "visible" and receive social recognition from employees, job seekers, related companies, financial institutions, etc.

Hyogo Work-Life Balance Company Awards

In order to promote work-life balance (WLB), the Hyogo Work and Life Center recognizes companies and organizations that are taking pioneering steps to promote the realization of "work-life balance," such as introducing diverse work styles and encouraging employees to balance their work and family life.
Efforts to review work styles, introduce and popularize systems to support the balance between work and family life, utilize diverse human resources, and change attitudes are eligible for the award.

Main Engagement

In order to promote diversity, we have implemented various measures since 2013.

  • Strengthening of the recruitment of female engineers
  • Development of female dormitories
  • Creation of maternity and childcare leave guidebook
  • Strengthening of management-level childcare leave acquisition and public relations

Certified as Hyogo Industry SDGs Certification Project – Gold Stage in 2025

Certified as Hyogo Industry SDGs Certification Project

Hyogo Prefecture is implementing the "Hyogo Industry SDGs Promotion Declaration Project and Certification Project" to raise awareness of the SDGs among small and medium-sized enterprises in the prefecture and to support small and medium-sized enterprises working toward achieving the SDGs.
Among these, the Gold Stage is the highest level of certification, awarded to companies that demonstrate unique initiatives related to the SDGs and successfully pass a presentation-based evaluation.

Main Engagement

  • Developed a non-woven spacer for use in cancer radiotherapy in collaboration with industry and academia, contributing to reduced patient burden, and exhibited it at the Osaka/Kansai Expo.
  • Achieved 46% reduction in CO₂ emissions in FY2024 (compared to FY2013) by thoroughly implementing energy-saving measures such as an RTO that utilizes combustion heat for thermal storage and solar power generation.

Founded in 1894, our company was recognized for its two pillars: its textile machinery business, which has a 100% domestic market share and is expanding globally, and its non-woven fabric business, which uses highly flexible materials to provide products to a wide range of industries.

Reason for award

Recommended by the Intellectual Property Research and Education Foundation
For many years, the company has encouraged employees to obtain the "Class 2 Intellectual Property Management Technician" qualification, introduced an active support system, and achieved remarkable results. In addition, the company has been introduced in a case study published by the Japan Patent Office as a company where each employee uses intellectual property as a weapon in the certification exam, and its efforts to develop human resources related to such "intellectual property management" occupations are exemplary for other establishments in the promotion of intellectual property management skills.
